AGM

The clubs AGM for 2009 will be held at Abbey School on Saturday 11th July 2009.  Everyone is welcome to attend, but only full adult members are entitled to vote.

SESSIONS CANCELLED

Please note that the following sessions are cancelled over the summer period due to the club being at competitions on these dates:- Saturday 4th July, Sunday 5th July, Friday 17th July, Saturday 18th July, Sunday 19th July, Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July.

WEDNESDAY SESSIONS

From Wednesday 24th June 2009, the session at QE school from 6.30 to 7.30 will be used for figure skating practise for those doing the figures competition at Tyne Tees.  Please can anyone doing figures at Tyne Tees be at QE school for 6.30 prompt on Wednesdays until the competition

TESTS

Congratulations to the following for passing their tests on 28th June 2009 at Herne Bay High School - Kaine, Chaz, Samantha and Annabel for passing their elementary couples test - Annabel, Paige, Mia and Samantha for passing their inter silver solo dance - Rachel for passing Silver solo dance

NEW MEMBERS DRIVE

WE ARE ACTIVELY LOOKING TO GROW THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CLUB

WE RUN CLUB SESSIONS AT ABBEY SCHOOL ON FRIDAYS FROM 7PM TO 8.30PM AND SATURDAYS FROM 3PM TO 5PM.  WE WELCOME ANYONE TO COME ALONG AND HAVE A GO.  NO NEED TO BOOK - JUST TURN UP AND SKATE WITH US.

We do have skates to hire for the club sessions.  It is best to ring to Keith on 07971 088383 to reserve skates for a session if you are coming down and need hire skates.

Have you ever wondered which tests other skaters in the UK have passed.  For a list of skaters standards, follow the link.  If you are not on the list, then advise the website to get your information updated.

The club offers training from complete  beginners through to international competitors like Paige, Annabel, Rachel and Sam together with Keith the trainer (left) and Doug and Rachel (right).

As the club continues to grow we are also looking for additional coaches.  Anyone who is interested in coaching and has previous skating experience, please speak to Keith on 07971 088383 or email invictars@hotmail.com  No previous coaching experience is required.
